Where will I be working? Who will I be working with?

Currently, there are 13 Si Se Puede! Learning Centers throughout the Southwestern United States.   Each fellow is assigned to a particular center, and that is his/her site for the term of the fellowship. The Si Se Puede! Learning Centers are part of the strategy of the National Farm Workers Service Center to provide quality affordable housing for low-income families. The Community Services’ National office staff  determine site placement based on where your skills will be best utilized (e.g. if you speak Spanish and a site needs someone who speaks Spanish). We also take into consideration where you would like to do service. To see a map of the current locations of Si Se Puede! Learning Centers in the United States, please click here.

What are the eligibility requirements to participate in the fellowship?

In order to be eligible to participate in the fellowship, candidates must be a US Citizen, either a graduate from a college or university or someone with several years of work experience and skills. You must be interested in helping low-income communities and establish various support programs, especially for children. You must be a resource builder with the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects at a time. Since the fellowship is a one-year commitment, you must be able to commit to the full year of service.  You must be willing to relocate to a site in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona or California.
