Staff and Volunteer Supervision

Human capital, in many ways, is a significant resource in itself. Without many of the volunteers and staff, these Si Se Puede! Learning Centers would not be possible. Fellows are expected to find and secure local volunteers, supervise and manage the volunteers working for the Si Se Puede! Learning Center and ensure their work is consistent with the established programs and program focuses.

Leadership and Professional Development

Cesar E. Chavez Fellow’s will develop incredible and unique skills that contribute to their professional development.  In many ways, fellows will be seen as the face of the National Farm Workers Service Center and will be expected to continue the legacy of Cesar E. Chavez, serving the community in a very powerful and meaningful way. The opportunity fellows will have to be advocates for these communities is one that is both demanding and rewarding - an opportunity that will give fellows the experience and knowledge for a career in community development, community outreach, and nonprofits. Through training opportunities, both formal and informal, fellows will be able to build their experience in arenas like diversity, conflict resolution, mentorship and youth engagement.
